OH 1915 - Bethesda Hospital

Capsule: Copper box (9 inches x 6 inches x 5 inches) in the cornerstone

Contents:

  • 2-inch circular badge made of clay with the inscription, "Grand Lodge, F. and A.M., of Ohio. Bethesda Hospital, August 8, 1915."
  • 4-page program of the cornerstone laying
  • Business card of William N. Werner, president of the Bethesda Hospital Association in 1915
  • Coins (one cent pieces, a 1912 dime, buffalo nickel)
  • Two one-cent postcards
  • National bank note for 15 cents dated 1863
  • Newspapers
  • Bible with the inscription, "Cornerstone Laying Bethesda Hospital Association, August 8, 1915, Zanesville, Ohio. Compliments of William Werner, President Bethesda Hospital."

Location: Bethesda Hospital (demolished in April, 1969)
