Indiana town opens 1911 time capsule, buries new one for 2111

A time capsule was buried at the Dekalb County Courthouse in Auburn, Indiana, not to be opened for 100 years. The town previously opened a time capsule from 1911 at their Courthouse Centennial Celebration on July 26, 2011.

AUBURN — The hole in the west corner of the DeKalb County Courthouse was sealed Friday — not to be opened for 100 years. It holds a 20-pound, 12-inch cube made of copper and filled with pictures, trinkets, letters and information about the companies, leaders, people and everyday life in DeKalb County.
